Maleficent - the mistress of the animals (and the woods) should not be violated and mutilated, since only she is capable of loving all creatures with UNCONDITIONED LOVE, including loving humans (domesticated-civilized „little beasties“).
ReplyDeletePhilipp can only love what he „knows and what he can trust“, hence he fails to awaken the girl.
No wonder that all fairy queens, magicians and shamans have died out in „our“ world of iron cages (buildings, cars, electric current wires, mobile phones, …), iron wings (drones), and iron coins (money)…
By the way: there is also some „master of the animals“, but even he has died out in „our“ iron(ic) world as well…

Interesting thought regarding Maleficent. Not sure I saw the element of "trust" playing a role in Philipp not being able to awaken Aurora. Seemed to me he just wasn't in a position to truly have love for her yet.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the existence of fairy queens or a "master of animals" in the real world, I'd be interested in hearing what your basis or reasoning is for either of those having ever truly existed. I haven't been exposed to any compelling evidence for the existence of either, but I'd be interested and open to hearing where you're coming from. Feel free to e-mail me anytime at paeter(at)spiritblade(dot)net to discuss it further. Thanks for your comment!
